On a cool night, in Luke’s bed, Ken leaned over and kissed Luke’s forehead on the scar across his eye he left from their fight in Nayshall years ago. Luke could feel the contrast of the cold air and Ken’s warm lips as they trailed down to below his eye. Ken’s chest drag against his own as he shifted down.

Luke was used to this; Ken kissed at that particular scar when he was feeling snuggly instead of combative on a good night like this. Luke would leave it as that: Ken being sweet. Tonight, however, Ken had been talkative about his past. He talked about the days he tried to make his own fortune and other ventures he couldn’t manifest. So Luke asked.

“Any reason you kiss at my scar so much?” Luke grinned. Teasingly he added, “Do you feel smug leaving your mark on me?”

Ken pulled back part of his hair behind the ear as he thought what to say. Just as quick it fell back to his face when he looked away from Luke. “It’s the opposite,” his eyes slightly shifted toward Luke, as if fighting to look at him or not. “Every time I look at you I feel terrible. I’ve always wanted to say…”

He locked eyes with Luke. “I’m sorry I did that.”

Luke quirked his neck up a bit, his eyes widen and so did his grin. Ken looked away and clicked his tongue in annoyance. He pulled back his hair again and it fell just as fast like the huff he was exhaling. “Why did I say anything.”

“No, no! I mean, have you looked at me?” Luke went so far to gently push Ken off of him, displaying his bare body covered in scars. “No need to be dramatic.”

“Yeah, I’ve seen them.” he spoke softly, his eyelashes downward. He could even see small trace scars from what he guessed were tattoo removal on his arms when the light hit them right. “So many hidden scars…” Ken’s voice trailed.

Luke realized Ken was serious and felt maybe he was too mean. Luke raised his hand, brushing the same troublesome hair out of Ken’s face and held it back to get a good look at his eyes that wouldn’t look at him. “Hey…”

“…I’d kiss all your scars…but that’d take all night.” Ken finally glanced at Luke, with a half-hearted smirk.

Luke blinked, what was up with Ken tonight? He couldn’t think of anything to fire back, he hated how he felt his cheeks burn. He hid his face from Ken by pulling him in for a kiss.
