...Where did it come from?
I noticed it this morning as I was working on today's illustration--It's a power I've wanted for years and years and thought I could never reach.
I realized I was inking over the first, scribble draft.
*Looks at electrified hands in awe*
And I've been doing it this way for at least since I started the blog, sure, but when exactly have I've been doing it? Why wasn't I debating with myself beforehand to try this magical technique I've seen the greats do on Youtube? Why didn't I stop midway, sigh in defeat how sloppy it looked, and went back to make a second draft before inking? It's just been happening and I didn't notice until now? Did I just line a detailed face into existance, say what?!
I can only think it's from my Draw a Box lessons. It's required to use a tech pen in all homework. At first it really hurt my brain thinking and approaching drawing differently. And I'm grateful for all that brain hurting to make it come natural, even if it's digital, for now.
When I realized what I was doing, I started to record it to see for myself.
