I was playing with Manga Studio 5 today, trying to like my dumb doodling again. It’s still aggravating to draw comics with this program—to the point of nerd rage. I switched to the Illustration workspace and tested it out where MS5 really excels but I certainly do not: coloring! I was surprised what a pleasant experience just using it for that. There’s a lot of options but it’s not too overwhelming. Color mixing didn’t feel like a struggle to figure out to go “my way.” All the default settings are cozy for a coloring newb like me. Definitely want to mess around with brush options next time. (Thank goodness for the return to default option)
Is “crop” a trademarked term? It was kinda amusing to crop my image with the “Fit canvas size to selection area” option. ;)
Also been playing lots of Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition. I’m smitten with the random-tropes-for-a-backstory-big-dude, Abel. Grabbing peeps in the air from a dodged ultra and smashing them into the ground with his weight is the most satisfying thing. :D (As long as I don’t miss, lol)
Oops, it’s been awhile. A low month but I’ve shaken out of it, thankfully!

ALSO, we are resurrecting our old “Being A Friend” offer! If at some point after today you see fit to mention GC to your friends or enemies, send us a link to what you did at gcgoodiebag@gmail.com and we’ll send you an exclusive free canonical comic featuring Colin and Banquo back in the cabin. Pretty much anything will qualify—a tweet, a tumble, even something as awesome as fanart :D. Feel free to comment or email for more details, and thanks for all your help! You guys are awesome.
